The Harvard Business School Dallas Alumni organization wanted a logo. Members of the Alumni met to discuss their brand and what it meant to them, assisted by Brian Shad of the Richards Group. They decided that their Mission is to “Educate leaders who make a difference in their world.” Their Brand Vision is to “Inspire and educate members to make a difference in their world.”
They wanted a logo that would reference their Harvard experience where everyone was assigned to a Section, and where classroom discussions took place in stadium settings. They wanted to call themselves Section Dallas, conveying their Brand Positioning as follows: “For Alumni that want to continue to grow, the Harvard Business School Club of Dallas is your on-going Section that extends the Harvard Business School experience.”
This logo reflects the idea of growth and outreach of the group members to their community.
